My cook book

Here you can find various recipes either created by me or just ones that I like and wanna share. A lot of people in the community wanna know how I make a lot of my food and try it out, so I figured why not make this page just for this purpose! I will update this over time.

My homemade cornbread!

This is a very simple recipe to do. Unlike most cornbread recipes, this one does not use eggs. The recipe is very simple.1 cup of self rising flour3/4 cup of cornmeal1/4 cup of sugarJust a pinch of saltMix the ingredients together with just enough water to give the batter the same consistency as pancake batter. Take your iron skillet (or whatever you cook cornbread in, I just prefer iron skillets) and grease it with Crisco (it's way better than greasing it with oil or spray cause it keeps it from sticking entirely while also keeping it from being greasy) Bake it at 400 degrees until golden brown. Once done, remove it from the iron skillet once removed from the oven and let cool for just a couple minutes. Then cut into slices and serve!

Tomato Gravy!

This is a very simple recipe to do. This is a southern gravy and is very very good. There are so many ways to make tomato gravy and it goes good on biscuits, cornbread, rice, and even on just regular bread. Heck I can eat it just by itself! It's that good! So how do you make it you ask? Well allow me to share the recipe that I personally use! You start by adding some oil to an iron skillet and some flour on a heat temp between medium and high. There's no specific measurement but I usually add maybe a cup or a little more depending on the amount of gravy I'm making. Whisk and cook the flour for no longer than maybe 1 minute (Flour easily burns and if you start to smell the flour even if it doesn't look burnt, you most likely burned it) so about a minute max is what you wanna cook it. Add a can of diced tomatoes, (do not drain), salt, and pepper (both to your taste) and stir. You can also add a bit of sugar but the sugar is optional. Keep stirring until it's got that gravy consistency. You may need to add some water to thin it out a bit and get it to the consistency you want it. Once it's hot and at the gravy consistency, you're done!

Southern fried pork chops

People make these delicious slabs of meat in many ways.. but I have a bit more of a simple approach to these. And it's quite delicious! You start by taking some flour, and mixing it in a bowl with salt and pepper (the amount is dependent on how many pork chops you're making) Preheat some oil in an iron skillet or frying pan on med-high heat(iron skillet is the preferred option here) Take your pork chop and coat it in the flour mixture you made in the bowl and place it in the iron skillet frying it on both sides until golden brown and cooked thoroughly! Serve with a side of cornbread and collard greens and you got a nice delicious southern meal!

Keto Lasagna

The recipe for this one has been requested a few times so I'm here to share it! There's quite a few steps needed to make this, but once it's done, it's so delicious that you won't even miss the starch of the noodles. First you're gonna wanna brown your meat. I would say maybe 1 pound and a half or 2 pounds at most (I usually have some left over that doesn't get used in the dish). Optionally you can add chopped or diced onions to the meat mixture, but you wanna make sure the meat is seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder and fully cooked. Once done, I like to add a jar of meat flavored spaghetti sauce (any brand or even other flavors of the sauce will work) and mix it in with meat without draining it. Seasoning it with garlic powder as it heats up with the meat. Once your sauce is ready, it's time to turn it into the lasagna! Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees and get your pan out. Layer a small amount of sauce on the bottom of the pan to prevent sticking.Take some 0 net carb tortillas, and make one layer with them. Layer some more sauce on top of the tortillas, and layer some cheese on top. Repeat this until you have about 3 layers and place it in the oven for about 5 - 10 minutes (or until the cheese is melted) Take out of the oven, and serve!

Zucchini Spaghetti

This is a keto recipe but a very good one. It was one of my go to dishes for awhile simply because I just loved it that much. You start by cooking a pound and a half of ground beef in a decent sized pot seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until it's browned and cooked all the way through (optionally you can cook in some diced onion and diced bell pepper with the meat) Add any kind of spaghetti sauce you wanna use. If you don't wanna use pre-made spaghetti sauce, you can opt for a homemade spaghetti sauce by adding ingredients to the same pot as the meat.As followed: (only if you don't add the pre-made spaghetti sauce)1 can of tomato sauce1 small can of tomato paste Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to your taste. Stir until mixed mixed the meat. To the same post of sauce, add zucchini squash cut into noodles, stripes, or chunks (depending on how you wanna cut them up) And cook on medium heat until cooked all the way through.

Oven roasted veggies!

This is a very universal recipe as any veggies you like can be cooked this way. It's really simple and easy. For this example I will use broccoli, but it applies to any veggies.Pre-heat oven to 400 degreesTake your broccoli and put it in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to your liking.Add just a small amount of extra virgin olive oil (enough to coat the veggies) and mix together. On a baking sheet, spray with olive oil spray to help prevent sticking and put the veggies on the baking sheet.Bake until cooked thoroughly or golden brown!

Eggnog French Toast

This is a recipe I learned from a friend of mine and it's really good. It's more of a holiday breakfast type thing since eggnog is only sold during the holidays. The recipe is as followed1 egg
1/4 cup of eggnog
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
4 slices of bread.
Whisk the egg, eggnog, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon in a bowl. Coat the bread in the mixture on both sides with a thin coating and fry in a pan with some melted butter on both sides until golden brown. Serve with butter and syrup and enjoy!

Keto chicken and rice

This one is customizable and it's delicious. You're gonna want the following4 chicken breasts (or 8 chicken thighs)1 head of cauliflowerChicken broth (low sodium is recommended for this but it's up to you)Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Boil in a pot with chicken broth (add some water if not enough chicken broth) and cook until done. With the cauliflower head, chop it up and add it to a food processor. Process it until it becomes rice like. Take the chicken out of the broth and shred it. To a new pot, add in the cauliflower rice, shredded chicken, and some of the chicken broth you cooked the chicken in. Cook until the cauliflower rice is soft.
